Healing Trauma: A Journey of the Soul

Trauma isn’t just something that affects the mind—it can deeply impact your soul as well. As a soul doula, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many through the transformative journey of healing, where spiritual practices intertwine with life’s most challenging moments.

Trauma is something that can be stored in the body, often manifesting in ways that we don’t expect. You might notice it in your physical responses—tight muscles, a racing heart, or even digestive issues—or in your mental state, like anxiety, fear, or sadness. But trauma goes beyond just what you feel; it shapes your actions, reactions, and your very sense of self-worth. This can lead to what we call trauma responses—fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. These reactions are automatic and often rooted in past experiences. They can show up in moments of crisis or stress, triggered by something as small as a song, a scent, or even a touch.

One of the most powerful tools in the healing process is simply becoming aware of these responses. Understanding what triggers you and how you react can be a turning point in your healing journey. It gives you the chance to pause, reflect, and shift. And that shift is where the real magic happens.

Healing isn’t just about understanding your mind and emotions; it's about embracing a holistic approach that works with both your body and your spirit. In my work, I combine therapeutic knowledge with spiritual practices. Connecting with archangels, spirit guides, and Source itself can be a profound way to begin rewiring your trauma responses. These practices help you feel grounded and present, especially during times when you might feel disconnected or dissociated from your experiences.

By embracing these practices, you allow yourself the space to heal not just on a mental level, but on a spiritual one as well. Healing trauma requires curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to face the parts of yourself that may feel broken or lost. Over time, this journey can lead to incredible growth, where you begin to see the blessings in your experiences and, eventually, regain sovereignty over your life.

If you are walking through your own trauma, I encourage you to explore it with love and openness. It’s not easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. You have the power to heal and move beyond the pain, finding peace and strength in your spiritual connection.

Remember, you are not your trauma. You are so much more than that. You are a soul on a journey of growth, healing, and transformation.
