EP:14 Age Is a Number, But Energy Is Everything

In this episode of Soul Therapy with Chelle, we explore how milestone birthdays can shift our perspectives on celebration, connection, and self-worth. As I reflect on turning 50, I share my evolving thoughts on what birthdays mean—moving away from societal expectations of grand celebrations and instead embracing intentional, meaningful moments throughout the year. From childhood birthdays filled with simple joys to the pressures of extravagant parties, I’ve come to realise that true celebration isn’t about the size of the event but the depth of the connection.

Rather than hosting one big party, I’ve chosen a year of celebration, curating moments that honour different relationships in my life—weekends with family, deep conversations over coffee, and peaceful nature walks with close friends. This journey has also taught me to embrace the different roles people play in my life, letting go of the need for one group to meet all my social needs. As I step into this new decade feeling strong and grateful, I invite you to reflect on how you celebrate your milestones. Do you go big, or do you find joy in quieter moments? However you choose to honour yourself, remember: you are worthy of celebration, exactly as you are.
